Welcome to my website.

'The idea behind the website was to set up a forum for my passions -   Buddhism, Art and Conservation.
I have studied spirituality and specifically Buddhism for many years, although not an expert, am a keen observer and follower of this ancient and maleable philosophical tradition.
Art, specifically, Japanese Woodblock prints have been a source of joy and an inspiration to learn more about ancient cultures, their history and their people.
Conservation is the obvious transition combining spirituality, beauty in nature and a willingness to 'put your money (and time) where your mouth is' and make a real effort to experience, enjoy and enhance the local environment.
The title thisfloatingworld combines both the Buddhist notion of a floating impermanent and ever changing world with the Ukiyo-e art of Japan,  the english translation being 'pictures of a floating world'.

I hope this website acts as a forum for discussion and like minded people who want to make a spiritual and ecological difference'.

Thank you for your time.
