Summer in Britain- you just cannot get better than this, watching butterflies dance around the meadows, the suns rays are piercingly warm and days and evenings unite in a warm embrace. Even towards the end of September it is still suprisingly warm,

Leaves are starting to become 'natures carpet'. Colours are becoming rare as grey skies and and dull undergrowth are moving in to become the lead colours of the spectrum. The senses though are still being challenged. Sitting within the forest, the sound of the wind whistling through and around trees triggers the fall of leaves, crunching under your feet as you walk. Its also becoming increasingly difficult to 'sneak up' on wildlife, the protective camouflage has gone and the crumpling under foot echoes as a signal to the shy deer of dangers approaching

'It's getting windy and cold, today though, was a beautifull day, the sun was peeking through the clouds. Wildlife was suprisingly active and, I guess due to lack of human visitors, easy to spot. My favourite Kestrels allowed portraits to be taken before gracefully 'exiting, stage left'.
Of course wildlife have to be braver and take more chances on finding food
